My beloved, the Assumption of Mary – it is an incomprehensible, eternal and tremendous feast in Heaven. There such events are no time-limited incidents, they last forever. And we are allowed to join this everlasting feast by saying with a joyful and solemn heart: „Hail Mary, You are full of grace, the LORD is with You; You are blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, JESUS.“ And while realizing Mary’s greatness we dare ask: „Holy Mary, Mother of GOD, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen!“

Mary, Free from Original Sin
Death is a result of original sin. Mary was free from original sin and therefore also free from death.

So her death was not really death but a rapture, a transition into Heaven. It is true that Mary is Co-Redemptress but the SAVIOUR had already suffered death. Consequently, her death was no longer required.

Mary’s Dormition
As her passing away drew near, Mary said to the Apostle John: „That is why I feel that I shall cease to be on the Earth, I through excess of love, as He (the SAVIOUR) died through excess of sorrow.
